Repent of Sin
Salvation : Hear - Believe - Repent of Sin - Confess Christ - Be Baptized - Live Faithfully
Repent of Sin Means to Turn Away from One’s Sinful Way of Life.
The Bible teaches that we will never be perfect. We will always “miss the mark,” and sin;
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8).
However, must not continue to live a sin based life and make every effort to eradicate sin from our lives. This is what it means to repent of sin.
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1-2).
Action is Needed to Repent of Sin.
Action is required to change our lives. We must take action and change from living a sin based life. Repentance is more than the worldly definition of just feeling regret.
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3).
Do You Have a Godly sorrow, leading You to Repent of Sin?
Do you have Godly sorrow over sin or worldly sorrow? Will your sorrow over sin will move you to repent of sin, changing your life and turning away from and giving up your sinful actions
“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10)?
There is Continual Forgiveness of Sin for Christians.
Once one is a Christian, there is continued forgiveness of sin as long as there is continued repentance of sin;
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7).
